In this new presentation “paying it forward” was the class topic. Now if you don’t understand the phrase “Paying it forward” kinda think of a nice gesture. the act of performing a kind or generous deed for someone, without expecting anything in return. Instead of accepting gratitude or repayment, the person is encouraged to pass on the kindness by helping someone else. This creates a ripple effect or a people now call it a “chain reaction” of goodwill and positive energy that can spread throughout a community. Paying it forward can take many forms, from simple acts like paying for a stranger’s coffee to more significant gestures like donating time or resources to a charitable cause. The concept is based on the belief that small acts of kindness can have a big impact and that by helping others, we can create a more compassionate and interconnected world.
Learning about “paying it forward” has encouraged me to do acts in the sense of paying it forward and has helped my idea of paying it forward. Each of the groups in the class had their own choice of topic in relation to paying it forward. Like for example the other two groups had good eating and significance of healthy eating habits.
After listening to groups 2 and 3 present, I want to say they have did an OUTSTANDING job. I’ve learnt about different organizations, cultures, and etc. Now many might have a question to say how does cultures, organizations, good eating, and self care have anything to do with “paying it forward”. Good eating habits often involve choosing sustainable and ethically-sourced foods. By supporting sustainable agriculture and reducing food waste, individuals contribute to a healthier planet, which benefits everyone. A lot of cultures don’t have that option of a choice for better food therefore worldwide organizations come together to help the ones in need also an example of paying it forward. Self care has a ton to do with paying it forward, taking care of oneself ensures that we have the energy and resource needed to support and help others across the nation that can’t help themselves.
Despite group 3 performed first probably felt as if they had little time, did fantastic. Despite group 2 being skipped mid presentation it was like they never left :) .
All in all, everyone did good and im happy i got this topic and learned more about what it’s like and what it actually means to pay it forward.
Very nice reflection but not 1000 words.
